[syslinux] Syslinux 4.06-pre12

I am looking into this issue.

I am also confused. 4.06-pre12 commit
b0ac906b283b428ba1c7f35fe1e71a84b3d3d9c6 "Add NTFS filesystem support to
Linux and Windows installers" seems to introduce a check that would never
pass for NTFS filesystems. The media type field is not in the same spot for
FAT and NTFS... But I've obviously _used_ the installer on an NTFS
partition before, so what is going on? :)

Is there unmerged stuff in a pcacjr-only branch, I wonder?

This issue can be reproduced easily, IMO. Basically what we'd need is to
create
a NTFS partition, copy big files to it and then small files until getting
its
$MFT fragmented.

I'd probably need to read some documentation or something to find out how to
check for this specific case and then providing a fix to it.

Hrm - I'll do my best on trying to get some time to fix it before the end of
this week then.

Good to know, indeed. Since it could be shorter between the releases, I
think
that won't be a problem at all.

Please, if someone is willing to help me with or fix this issue, please
contact me by
email or IRC - I'll be available to answer any questions or help in
something.
