With `locate uuid.h` did I found among others
/usr/include/uuid/uuid.h
Doing `dpkg -S /usr/include/uuid/uuid.h` my Debian system give:
uuid-dev: /usr/include/uuid/uuid.h
Meaning that the package "uuid-dev" provides the header file.
