What do you mean with that
 "with *O:\syslinux\SYSLINUX.CFG\SYSLINUX.CF1*"?

I don't understand what you meant. Please clarify; really.

This is confusing to me. Those two messages,
"warning: No configuration file found"
"NO DEAFULT or configuration directive found!"

should not appear together.

>From the two messages you received together, and from the dates
reported by the last DIR command, I fear you are mixing Syslinux
versions.

Please, under XP, use version 5.00 of Syslinux, released on 2012
DECEMBER 06 to copy the relevant *.c32 files to "O:\syslinux\*.c32".

Then, from the _same_ 5.00 version, also under XP, please execute:
syslinux.exe --directory /syslinux --install O:
from the Win32 directory of the unzipped Syslinux 5.00 official
archive.

For our troubleshooting, it is important to use version 5.00 for the
installer and for the c32 modules. Please avoid using any other
version of Syslinux, including pre-releases of version 5.00 or
pre-releases of 5.01.

After those steps, please, under XP execute:
DIR O:\*.C* /A /S /O /X
and report the result in your next email.

After performing the copy of c32 files and executing the installer as
requested above, please also test booting your system with this "O:"
device and report the result too.

Thank you and Regards,
Ady.
