OK. I am attaching in this email a "syslinux.cfg.gz" file for you.
If, for whichever reason, the attached file is seen with a different
file name or file extension, just save it in your system and change
its name and extension to "syslinux.cfg.gz".

This file can be opened and extracted by 7zip (among other possible
options). Important note: the file inside this gzipped archive is
named "syslinux.cfg", so be careful not to unintentionally overwrite
any other file with this same name.

If you have any problem with the attached file, with this gzipped
archive or with the syslinux.cfg file inside it, please let me know
so to provide a different way for you to achieve it.

The new "syslinux.cfg" file I am sending has some corrections
regarding the Syslinux directives you used, so to minimize potential
conflicts with Syslinux 5.00. To be clear, I have only edited the
directives starting from the file you sent before, so the menu would
eventually be displayed. Whether the actual boot entries would work
or not depends on additional factors.

Of course you can open the new syslinux.cfg file to review its
content, but I would like to request not to edit it (ie. not to use
"save" in notepad) in any way before we finish the tests and
troubleshooting procedures.

1_ Please replace your current "O:\syslinux\syslinux.cfg" file with
this new one I am sending. Since you have your backup already saved
as "O:\syslinux\syslinux.cf1", you don't need to worry about it.

2_ Please boot with your "O:" drive. You should expect to see a
"boot:" prompt. If there are any messages, please take note and
report them in your next email, just as you did before.

3_ Once you are at this "boot:" prompt (and after taking note of any
eventual messages), press [ENTER]. Do you see a Syslinux menu?

According to your next feedback, I'll add some additional steps and
notes about this new syslinux.cfg so to get the same result you had
with previous versions of Syslinux.

Thanks and Regards,
Ady.
