As Gene hinted more than once, let's follow bottom-post style, so to
make this thread readable.

If I understand correctly, the GX620 is not booting with ISOLINUX
5.1x, but it boots with SYSLINUX 5.1x.

I don't know if the following could actually help, so just in case it
does...

In Syslinux 5.11-pre8, there is a new debug.c32 module. Booting with
UFD with SYSLINUX 5.11-pre8 official binaries (also including all
lib*.c32 official files from the same archive, without menus, only
boot prompt) so to use debug.c32 might, perhaps, add some new info
(?). Probably a Syslinux development member could provide more
detailed instructions, such as which parameters to append to
debug.c32 in the boot prompt.

Perhaps using 5.11-pre8 official SYSLINUX with meminfo.c32,
dmitest.c32, hdt.c32, ... (from same official 5.11-pre8 archive)
might result in different values and/or behavior than before? Again,
Syslinux developers probably needed.

Additional tests could possibly involve ISOLINUX 5.02-pre2 and/or
5.02-pre3 (before the merging of 4.10), using isolinux-debug.bin and
all c32 modules from the same official package (and, as mentioned
before, with boot prompt as default instead of menu, or no cfg at
all). I still doubt the behavior would be different than in 5.1x, but
you never know.

These are just a few possible testing ideas, and in any case they
would need additional guidance from Syslinux developers.

FWIW, I have seen at least one report (not in this ML) of other Dell
system being unable to boot with ISOLINUX 5.01 nor with ISOLINUX 5.10
(so perhaps this is on all ISOLINUX 5.xx?) while successfully booting
with the same CD an old Compaq. It might or might not be related to
the same issue presented in this email thread.

Regards,
Ady.
