[syslinux] Possible memdisk issue

You don't even have to mount the floppy image to copy files to it.
You can use mcopy of mtools to copy files to a disk image (doesn't require
root rights).

There is a small tutorial (for a 2880kb floppy image, but by changing the
mformat command, you can make bigger images):
  - Make a new floppy image and format it with FAT12/16/32 with the help of
mformat.
  - Boot to the FreeDOS base iso (fdbasecd.iso) to install the bootsector
on your new floppy image with SYS.COM
  - Once you have created this floppy image of a size that suits you, you
can start from that one the next time for the following step.
  - Copy files to your image from within linux with mcopy.
