I do not think this particular patch should be pushed yet because of 
http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2015-May/023454.html
the equation 
i = (nic_idx * nr_handles) / nic_num;
is just a guess; it doesn't always work. 
I'm working these days trying to fix the original patch
