I am also interested in learning whether the all-in-one-FAT
method can work with SYSLINUX (this is not ISOLINUX realm).

The FAT would have to contain the complete operating system,
or at least enough of it so that it can recognize the medium
and find other filesystems with its further components.

As said, i can now provide a xorriso version which tries to
break the limit of 32 MB if needed. Currently released versions
write 65535 (* 512 bytes) as size if the image is larger.

The decisive test would be whether the ISO with the giant FAT
in it properly boots from CD, DVD, or BD medium.

For hard-disk-only, a normal EFI bootable hard disk image
would suffice and is reported to work fine.

Have a nice day :)

Thomas
