[syslinux] [PATCH 0/1] EFI image booting capabilities

Hi Patrick,

we're currently looking for some way to chainload windows "bootx64.efi"
via our syslinux/pxelinux (syslinux.efi version) menu.

According to some posts on this list, chain loading currently only works
for BIOS version of pxelinux, but if I read your post correctly, your patches
should enable a kind of chain-loading for .efi binaries (from syslinux.efi?),
right?

What we're trying to do is this:

- booting UEFI capable systems using "efi[32/64]/syslinux.efi"
- display menu to select Linux / Windows auto-install
- Linux installations already work this way
- Windows installations need to (chain-)load their own
"bootx64.efi" in order to boot WIM installation images

Is that, what your patches are all about?
Has there been any progess since your last post on this topic?

Best regards,
   Marcel

Hi Gene,

I'll take a look at them.
BTW did you get a binary compiled & tested including the new code?

A few days ago the pipe got unstuck and I've received even the missing e-mails.Currently I'm receiving the list correctly
