interested in seeing the outcome.

But in the end it is the code in isohdpfx.bin which fails to
read the proper start block of isolinux.bin. There are several
decisions made in that code which would be of interest.
Especially i am curious what block it gets when it believes to
ask the BIOS for block 8444 where isolinux.bin begins in
debian-8.7.1-i386-xfce-CD-1.iso.
