There is not much wrong with redirectoring people to the archive.

Helping with building a good mailinglist archive is better.

Where hpa allready does a great job in writing cool code,
he is also good in building a readable archive.

In his replies to the mailinglists he
- puts the answer below the question
- removes lines that became irrelevant
- adds qoute signs like '> '

That may sound technical, but infact he does a very social thing:
   He make it possible for the archive readers
   to read in the _discussion order_


Where this message is it indeed an appriciation of hpa's work,
would it be nice if it also is seen
a call for replying below the text
