[syslinux] ethersel.c32 issues

The message on my screen is:
Error: no recognized network card found!

Here is the output of a different machine.  ethersel.c32 fails with it 
too. It is a laptop (AMD 2200+) with a VIA-NIC.

Do you also want the dmesg/lspci output of VMWare?
