[syslinux] Graphic Display Problems with V3.09

I first logged this bug last month.

And followed up with a "patch" that simply rolls back the max command 
line changes. However, it did *not* behave deterministically for me. :-( 
Nor did I get any gold star. I guess it's lather..rinse..repeat with the 
new test releases. Sean, have you tried yet?
