I would have a nice suspect bug in xorriso ... if it was not still
present in release 1.2.8.

Currently only in svn trunk and development tarball xorriso-1.2.9.tar.gz
is: 
  * Bug fix: GPT header CRC was computed from all 512 bytes
             rather than from 92.

Obviously hardly anybody cares for that checksum. I learned about
the error from a result image review by Vladimir Serbinenko,
not from a report about boot failures.

We still lack an explanation why it worked with the run of xorriso-1.2.8
and not with the run of xorriso-1.2.6.
All i can say, is that i do not know a matching difference in xorriso's
code.

I can offer to inspect and compare images that work and images that don't.
Just give me URLs and the arguments of the xorriso runs.
Please test again both images whether they still reliably behave their
peculiar ways.
