Could you please specify the source(s) of the conflicting information? 
Where _exactly_ are these (conflicting) details posted? What _exactly_ 
is not clear?


Additionally, it might help to know whether you are asking about:
_ storage devices such as HDD / removable disks; or,
_ optical media; or,
_ network booting.
